Your Family Pictures

It's pretty obvious that Online Family Tree needs your pictures in order to get them up on your family tree web site. But what's not so obvious is that in many families, male names are very similar (i.e. Joe, Joe III, Joe Sr., Joe Jr., Joey, Joseph, etc.).

So in order to match your photos up with the correct people listed on your Tree Form, a tracking number system is used.

After printing out the Tree Forms, writing out your family tree structure on the form, and assigning unique tracking numbers to each family member on your Tree Form, the final step is to transfer the Family Tree Name and unique Tracking Number from the Tree Form to the back side of the corresponding photograph (see Fig. 4).

Note:   In the case of additional pictures for the same person/line item in the family tree menu, a LETTER needs to be appended to the tracking number for each additional picture. For example, if you have an additional picture for the person associated with tracking number "(01-02)", then write "(01-02)a" on the back of that first additional picture. If there is a second additional picture for that same person...then write "(01-02)b" and so on.
